More from this show

Governor Katie Hobbs has declared September Grand Canyon Music Festival Month. The festival is held annually at the Shrine of the Ages on the south rim of the Grand Canyon and runs from September 1 to 16, 2023.

Michael Newman and Laura Oltman, part of the Newman & Oltman Guitar Duo, are featured artists at the Grand Canyon Music Festival. Their concert tours have taken them to venues across five continents. The duo has collaborated with diverse artists such as Marvin Hamlisch and the Pittsburgh Symphony Pops, Frederica von Stade, Eileen Ivers, Clarice Assad, Tim Fain and the ETHEL, Calder and Turtle Island string quartets.

Fanfare Magazine hailed the Duo’s latest CD, Music from Raritan River, as “a winner all around.” The recording features a collection of world premieres commissioned by the duo over the past decade.
