Arizona sees worst wildfire activity in years

More from this show

Arizona has experienced more than 1,200 wildfires since January 2024. With nearly 173,000 acres burned so far, this is the worst fire activity our state has seen in recent years.

John Truett, State Fire Management Officer at the Department of Forestry and Fire Management, joined “Arizona Horizon” to discuss the situation and also to help us prepare for wildfire evacuations should one become necessary.
