Chilled water fountains in Phoenix aim to save lives

More from this show

Phoenix is trying to provide chilled water to the public, making it available at all times. It’s part of a pilot program and a larger effort to save lives, including those who are unhoused.

Michael Hammett, City of Phoenix Office of Innovation Director, said a year ago, they launched a pilot program with three outdoor fountains offering chilled water. Now six more are planned.
