Point-in-Time Count, Youth Suicide Rates Drop, Phoenix Art Museum: Radical Clay

More from this show

On this episode of “Arizona Horizon,” we sit down with Tanner Swanson, marketing director of the non-profit “A New Leaf”, to learn more about concerns surrounding the Point-in-Time Count’s accuracy. Research has shown that the number of people who experience homelessness over the course of a year can be 2.5 to 10 times higher than what is captured on a single night through the PIT count.

We also hear from Dr. Carla C. Allan, the division chief of Psychology at Phoenix Children’s, on how youth suicide rates are going down. Phoenix Children’s works to help those with the most acute mental health needs while also providing support to the community.

Finally, we learn more about Phoenix Art Museum’s exhibition titled ‘ Radical Clay’ with Colin Pearson, curator for Art of Asia at Phoenix Art Museum. The exhibition runs through September 2026.
