Iran War; postsecondary enrollment; new children’s book

More from this show

On “Arizona Horizon,” we sat down with Evelyn Farkas, Executive Director of the McCain Institute at ASU, to discuss new developments in the Iran War. Sources said mediators are trying to bring Washington and Tehran back to the negotiating table as renewed fighting further erodes the ceasefire agreement.

We also heard from Molly Bohannon, Arizona Center for Investigative Reporting Higher Education Reporter, to learn about Arizona’s declining college‑going rates. Only about half of graduates continue their education within a year, a decline seen across most counties and demographic groups.

Finally, Cherry Prailleau, author of “Coach Shirley’s Soccer Team: Winning the Game of Life,” explained the values at the center of her new children’s book. The story highlights Shirley’s Laws, a set of clear principles that guide children in how to show up, work together and take responsibility.
