Radha Vatsal is the author of the Kitty Weeks mystery series, A Front Page Affair (2016) and her new novel Murder Between the Lines (2017).

Her fascination with the 1910s began when she studied women filmmakers and action-film heroines of silent cinema at Duke University, where she earned her Ph.D. from the English Department.

Vatsal is also a co-editor of the Women Film Pioneers Project.

She was born in India and spent her childhood in Mumbai, and now lives in New York with her husband and two children.
