Tucson Gun Destruction Case

More from this show

A law that withholds funds from cities that pass ordinances conflicting with state laws will be put to the test in a case before the Arizona State Supreme Court. The high court will hear a case involving Tucson’s decision to destroy seized guns instead of selling them, as required by state law. Ken Strobeck, executive director of the League of Arizona Cities and Towns, will debate the issue with Republican senator John Kavanagh on the eve of the supreme court case.
