Social Connections: Angel Flight West

More from this show

A non-profit that uses volunteer pilots to give rides to sick people in rural areas to the hospital is also helping those areas during the pandemic.

A very unique solution to a big problem, Josh Olsen says “even the best doctor in the world can’t save a patient that’s not there.” Volunteer pilots have flown over 400 flights and delivered 53 tons of supplies to areas across the west coast including Navajo Nation in Arizona hit hard by the pandemic.

Olsen provides hope in times of crisis and believes that as long as they’re runways and volunteers willing to donate they’ll be there to help.
