What environmental advocates hope to see from legislators

More from this show

The upcoming State Legislative Session is about to get underway. And with that in mind, we begin our series about what advocates for various issues are looking to see from lawmakers this go-round.

On Arizona Horizon, we spoke to Sandy Bahr, Chapter Director at Sierra Club Grand Canyon Chapter, about what she hopes to see from lawmakers.

The Sierra Club is the most enduring and influential grassroots environmental organization in the United States. The organization’s goal is to defend everyone’s right to a healthy world.

Sierra Club Mission Statement

  • To explore, enjoy, and protect the wild places of the earth;
  • To practice and promote the responsible use of the earth’s ecosystems and resources;
  • To educate and enlist humanity to protect and restore the quality of the natural and human environment; and to use all lawful means to carry out these objectives
