Rita Moreno in conversation with Cheryl Boone Isaacs at Arizona Musicfest

More from this show

On March 16, legendary entertainer Rita Moreno will be in conversation with Cheryl Boone Isaacs, the founding director of the Sidney Poitier New American Film School at Arizona State University, and the former president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. This is part of Arizona Musicfest, and Allan Naplan, CEO of Arizona Musicfest, joined Arizona Horizon with details.

Rita Moreno is a true Hollywood and Broadway legend, having been honored and recognized for her acclaimed performances on both stage and screen. Moreno recently joined “Horizonte” host Catherine Anaya for an interview discussing her life, her career, and her role as a Hispanic pioneer in Hollywood.

Moreno has won all four of the most prestigious awards in show business: an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony (making her an EGOT), and is the recipient of the Peabody Career Achievement Award, the Kennedy Center Honor for her lifetime contributions to American culture, the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and the National Medal of Arts.

Moreno is also the author of “The New York Times” bestselling book, “Rita Moreno: A Memoir.”
