Warner Bros.-Paramount Merger, ‘RAMageddon,’ ASU’s Levitt Lab

More from this show

In this episode of “Arizona Horizon,” we sat down with Bill Goodykoontz, “The Arizona Republic” media columnist, to discuss the proposed blockbuster merger between Paramount Skydance and Warner Bros. Discovery. A coalition of 12 state attorneys general, including Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes, has sued to thwart the $110 billion deal.

We also heard from Hitendra Chaturvedi, W. P. Carey School of Business Professor of Practice, to learn about the rising costs of Apple and Microsoft products. Apple pointed to high demand for storage and memory chips as the reason for the significant price hikes, including increases of up to 33% for some devices.

Finally, Betsy Fowler, ASU Preparatory Academy Chief of Staff, explained the promising success rates of ASU Prep Tempe’s new school model. ASU Prep Tempe’s Levitt Lab was created from an idea: education needs to fundamentally change so young people can flourish.
