1872 Mining Law

More from this show

The U.S. House passed a revision of the 1872 mining law last week, which has not been revised since it was passed in 1872. The revision will require mining and oil companies to pay royalties for minerals and oil they take from the land. We’ll have a discussion of the bill being considered in Congress. (still working on guests, although one will be Alan Stephens of the group Western Progress)
