Recruitment of female firefighters

The city of Phoenix Fire Department is led by a woman, Chief Kara Kalkbrenner, and about 70 women serve in the department out of a total of about 1600 employees. We’ll show you the stories of some female firefighters and then talk about efforts to recruit more females onto the fire department with Phoenix fire captain Reda Riddle-Bigler.
