MLK Diversity Award recipients on how they’re changing their communities

More from this show

This year’s 2021 recipients of the MLK Diversity Awards for the City of Tempe include Margot and Maddie McArdle and Danielle Nieto. Margot and Maddie are sisters who volunteer their time to help their schools become safer and more equitable. Danielle works for Native American Connections at the Lodge, an emergency shelter for people experiencing homelessness and are at high risk for contracting COVID-19. We spoke to these young award winners about how they are changing their communities.
