Last year, Maricopa County Animal Care and Control (MCACC) launched its Tails Around Town program. Offered at the West and East shelters, the program is an opportunity for people to take dogs on a field trip, giving them a break from the shelter.
Tails Around Town is designed to help dogs be seen, allowing the shelter to learn more about them and help find their permanent home. Additionally, it serves as a way for the community to get involved and help shelter dogs.
Kim Powell, Maricopa County Animal Care and Control Communications Supervisor, joined “Arizona Horizon” to discuss the program.
