ASU presents 2024 MLK Jr. Faculty Servant-Leadership Award

Dr. Jeffrey Wilson was awarded ASU’s 2024 MLK Jr. Faculty Servant-Leadership Award, and joined “Arizona Horizon,” to discuss more about receiving this award.
Dr. Wilson is an ASU professor of statistics and biostatistics, associate dean of research and inclusive excellence, co-chair of LIFT Initiative and a Faculty Athletics Representative. Dr. Wilson is orginially from Trinidad and Tobago.
“My mother, she taught as a teacher…she was a person who brought the kids in the village together,” Dr. Wilson said. “I was always helping her, and I moved with that same attitude throughout my undergraduate, graduate, and after. I just love teaching.”
Dr. Wilson has been an ASU faculty member since 1985 and has an extensive history of leadership proving his dedication to serving his community.
“…where I’m working with alzheimers, taking the data from alzheimers, helping investigators and researchers understand how the data works,” Dr. Wilson said. “so that they can go out and produce better results for patients.”
