America’s Home Cooking: From the Garden
March 12, 2011
– Recipes Made by You, “From the Garden” to the Table –
Food co-ops, farmers markets and community and rooftop gardens have become commonplace in many American communities. Fresh, organic foods are replacing frozen and pre-packaged foods in many popular restaurants and families are re-discovering eating home-cooked meals together around the dinner table. America's Home Cooking: From the Garden will show anyone who wants to use fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs from their own gardens or other community resources how to easily prepare tasty, healthy dishes. America's Home Cooking: From the Garden airs Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 7 a.m.
Chris Fennimore hosts and invites his favorite cooks to join him in the kitchen. They'll help viewers prepare a variety of organic, wholesome dishes including:
- Zucchini Casserole
- Tomato Garlic Basil Soup
- Corn Fritters
- Grilled Asparagus
- Garden Tomato Tart
- Pesto Sauce
- Butternut Squash Ravioli
- Rhubarb Crisp
