AT ARIZONA MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY SATURDAY

WHAT: Eight, Arizona PBS presents the Dinosaur Train Discovery Tour, a free event for families with children, as well as educators, celebrating inquiry and young minds, and rolling out PBS’ new online learning resource and museum companion “Dinosaur Train Discovery Tour.”

WHO: Eight, Arizona PBS Educational Outreach and Generation Eight will bring Buddy the Dinosaur from its popular TV series PBS KIDS' Dinosaur Train to greet science fans of all ages. As guests explore museum exhibits, kids can access more information narrated by Dr. Scott the Paleontologist and engage in interactive activities inspired by the exhibits, using the new PBS KIDS' Dinosaur Train "Discovery Tour" website on their mobile devices. Discovery Tour also features other kid-friendly attractions around Arizona, including zoos, museums and aquariums. Visit the website.

Kids and their families can explore the pre-historic era at the Mesa museum, meet scientists from ASU's Franz Insect Lab and Astronomy Club, and participate in hands-on activities with REI, Desert Rivers Audobon, and Arizona Museum for Youth. Kids can also download educational Dinosaur Train games and meet their favorite T-Rex, Buddy the Dinosaur. Pre-registration for the event is encouraged at azpbs.org/family.
