Horrid conditions at detention centers

More from this show

Reports of inhumane conditions at immigration detention facilities holding children are coming out. There are reports of lice and flu outbreaks, lack of soap and toothpaste and older children watching younger children. We’ll hear about the conditions with Leah Sarat, an associate professor in the Arizona State University School of Historical, Philosophical and Religious Studies and an expert in immigration detention centers, and Beth Strano, families coordinator for the International Refugee Committee in Phoenix.
