A Laveen principal has been awarded the prestigious national Milken Educator Award, which comes with a $25,000 cash prize. Timothy Thomas is known as a “turnaround expert,” and took Rogers Ranch School in Laveen from a D to a B grade in Arizona’s school grading system in just one year.
