Aliento founder’s hopes for immigration with a new President

President Biden took to action signing over a dozen executive orders after only a day in office, some on immigration. Tyler Manion of Cronkite News talks with Reyna Montoya. Montoya is the founder of Aliento. Aliento is an organization that has been fighting for DACA for years.

Montoya is optimistic about the Biden administration prioritizing immigration. Biden’s immigration plan includes an executive order. She also remembers how immigrants were treated the last time Biden served in the white house. Montoya still has hope that this time around they will learn from the past. They dissed Biden’s proposed plan and what it will look like.
