AI Influence on Holiday Retail, Homeless Sleepout, Julia Child Exhibit

More from this show

On this episode of “Arizona Horizon,” we sit down with Hitendra Chartuvedi, a professor of practice at W. P. Carey School of Business, to learn how retailers are relying on AI-powered forecasting tools to predict consumer behavior and manage inventory. This holiday season could serve as the first true test of whether AI can outperform traditional forecasting methods at scale.

We also hear from Megan Loden, development director of Homeless ID Project, and Carrie Masters, CEO of St. Joseph the Worker, to learn about the second annual Sleep Out, which will be held on July 29. The event is designed to raise awareness and funding for organizations helping individuals move from homelessness to stability.

Finally, Ashe Gibson from the Arizona Science Center discusses a new exhbitiion titled “Julia Child: A Recipe for Life.” The exhibition explores the key ingredients in Julia Child’s personal journey, which became part of America’s culinary revolution
